STUDENT COUNCIL
Each year, the student body of Central Catholic elects a Student Council to develop and organize all of the activities on campus. The Student Council is comprised of five Associated Student Body (ASB) Officers and four representatives from each grade level. Elections are held in the spring each year for all returning students and in the fall for the incoming Freshman class.
Being at the center of all of the functions at Central Catholic is fun and rewarding experience, but it is challenging and time consuming. The 21 members of the Student Council meet at least 100 times a year usually at 7:00am before school starts for the day. They work very hard and have a lot of responsibility. However, the experiences they enjoy will last far beyond high school. Student Council members learn valuable leadership and project management skills as they educate and entertain the students, faculty and staff of Central Catholic.
Student Council Summer Retreat at Black Butte
Thanks to the generosity of one of our Central Catholic families, this year's student council members had the opportunity to gather together at Black Butte to get to know each other and begin the process of planning student activities for the year. The retreat was a culmination of a full summer of council planning meetings. In addition to leadership training this dedicated group of students worked hard on creating ideas for assemblies, discussing the challenges faced by our student body, and most importantly strategizing on how the student council can help create a place where every student belongs and has an activity that makes their experience at Central Catholic richer. In the midst of all of the hard work and brain storming, council members hiked to the top of Black Butte and played games.
The team is ready for a great year !
